Situated in the northwest of the Sultanate of Oman, Al Buraimi Governorate is known for its vital commercially strategic location.
The Governorate of Buraimi consists of three states, namely Buraimi, Mahdah and Al-Sunina, and its capital is the state of Buraimi. The population of the governorate is (127,886) people, according to the National Center for Statistics, and the number of elected members of the Municipal Council of the Governorate of Buraimi (6) and (2) two government members representing the various states of the province. The land is known for its availability of water with its wadis and aflaj system and has been a trade route.
The governorate is characterized by the cultivation of wheat, palms and fruits. The governorate of Buraimi has many forts and castles, the most important of which are the fort (trench), the fort (Hilla) and the fort (House of peer) and the fort ((Al-Khabib)) and others, which are all tourism attractions today.
